Steeped in the Piedmont and the Mississippi Delta, Sam Hurrie’s music connects with the “Old Soul” in every one of us. Not only is Sam’s "Goin’ Down Camp" a glowing tribute to a "Golden Age" in Blues, but it also invokes feelings of the blistering heat, the broken hearts and the sordid injustice of the "Deep South" in the early 1900’s. "The Whatever Song", "July 4th" and "Trouble Out Back" are fine examples of Hurrie’s brilliance as a writer!

Throughout the year, at "The Edge", "The Queen’s" or "The Abbey", he can be found trading licks with class acts like Ken Hamm, Doug Cox, Todd Butler or Keith Bennett. Ever the consummate gentleman, Sam is a well respected veteran of the music festival scene.
