Building on the success of the Summertime Blues! 2005, 2006 and 2007 free outdoor Blues festivals, the Nanaimo Blues Festival Society will be presenting Summertime Blues! 2008. The 2008 festival will follow the same format which proved so successful at the 2007 event.
Summertime Blues! 2008 will take place from Friday, August 15 to Sunday August 24 on the Diana Krall Plaza. The basic format will be an initial 3-day weekend of free outdoor performances on 2 stages followed by 5 evenings of instructional workshops by Festival artists at the Blues Underground and closing with a 2-day weekend of free outdoor performances on 2 stages..
